About R. L. Austen Jewellers
Independent family run jewellers based in Chichester, West Sussex
Situated in the heart of historic Chichester, R.L. Austen Ltd. is an independent family run jewellers dating back to 1794 originally under the name E.H. Lewis. The business was bought by Richard Leonard Austen, an R.A.F. Bomber Navigator and Gemmologist in February 1948 and changed the name to R.L. Austen Ltd. In August 1964 'Dikkie' Austen moved the business to its present location at 75 North street.
R.L. Austen became one of the first independent jewellers in the U.K. to stock Rolex watches, and has continued to do so for over 40 years.
We offer our customers a friendly welcome, and a high standard of service based on many years of experience in various aspects of the jewellery trade.
We stock a range of high quality jewellery, specialising in coloured gem stones & diamonds, pearls, top name branded watches and clocks, and quality name giftware. We also have a large selection of second hand jewellery, Rolex watches, and silverware.
We also have a full range of customer services, including jewellery repairs, silverware repairs, clock repairs, watch repairs, and pearl re-stringing. Valuations are undertaken by our own 'On site' registered valuer.
