There are just 1,200 pieces of this limited-edition design available globally, created to mark the 25th anniversary of the Grand Seiko in-house developed 9S Calibre movement. The signature textured dial is inspired by the natural phenomenon of clouds surrounding Mt. Iwate near the Shizukuishi Watch Studio where Grand Seiko mechanical timepieces are made. In Japanese the misty scenery viewed at first light from the top of the mountain the ‘sea of clouds’ or ‘雲海= Unkai.’ ‘The Nature of Time’ theme features prominently in Grand Seiko watch designs – a Japanese spirituality where each moment is a unique expression unveiled through light and shadow. The watchmakers’ pride in their surroundings is represented from engineering watch movements, to creating dials reflecting the beauty of Japanese nature. This Hi-Beat watch is powered by the in-house built mechanical Calibre 9S85, with a power reserve of 55 hours and an accuracy rate of +5 to -3 seconds per day. With a 37mm case size, the sapphire crystal case back showcases a sky-blue oscillating weight inspired by the ‘sea of clouds’ design, a colour created through anodic oxidation. Every Grand Seiko features signature high standards of precision, durability and legibility, handcrafted in Japan by Takumi artisans. Orders under £30 are charged at £5.
However heavier, bulkier items may require an additional cost. Please contact us for a quote before the order is processed, or if that is not possible we may need to contact you to arrange an additional postage charge.
Items are generally sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery, guaranteed by 1PM which we will send at the earliest convenience after purchase, but will be in touch with you once the item has been purchased to confirm this (unless advised by us of an earlier delivery time). In the event you (or your representative) are not there to receive the goods there may be a re-delivery charge by the transport company; this will be passed on to you.
All deliveries have to be signed for; this written authorisation negates any responsibility for the delivered goods by R. L. Austen Jewellers Ltd and the courier. R. L. Austen Jewellers Ltd is not responsible for the goods once they have been received and accepted.
All goods leave our premises in perfect condition but if you are not satisfied with the goods on arrival DO NOT ACCEPT delivery. In any event, if you are not satisfied with the goods, please inform R. L. Austen Jewellers Ltd within 30 working days of delivery and return the goods in their original condition to R. L. Austen Jewellers, otherwise you will be deemed to have accepted the goods.
If there should be any shortages, damage or incorrect deliveries please inform R L Austen Jewellers Ltd. within a reasonable time after delivery.
