Grand Seiko ‘Sakura Wakaba’ SBGH343G 62GS Mechanical Hi-Beat Watch

£6,950.00

This timepiece is inspired by the twenty four ‘Sekki’ or seasons in Japan; since ancient times these changes in the weather and nature have been incorporated into Japanese daily life.

This new Grand Seiko is inspired by the season known as ‘Seimei,’ meaning ‘clear and bright.’ In early April, flowers blooms and new leaves begin to sprout. A warm spring breeze, bright sunshine, cherry blossoms and young leaves set the scene for this light silvery-green dial. This Grand Seiko is aptly named ‘Sakura-Wakaba’ – ‘Sakura’ meaning ‘cherry blossom’ and ‘Wakaba’ meaning ‘young leaf.’ The delicately crafted dial is enclosed in box sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating.

Its glass exhibition case back showcases the in-house built 9S85 hi-beat movement. With 36,000 vibrations per hour, the 9S85 movement is accurate to +5/-3 seconds per day with a 55-hour power reserve.

Every Grand Seiko features signature high standards of precision, durability and legibility, handcrafted in Japan by Takumi artisans.
